Why we built Runi

Sixty percent of health-app users are women. Less than two percent of health apps are built for them.

We were tired of being an afterthought in an industry we literally power.

01

Tell us, don't show us.

We were drowning in dashboards, trackers, and charts. What we wanted was a plan.

02

One body, four weeks.

Day 8 you and Day 22 you need different things. Most apps treat you exactly the same.

03

Fit the lives we live.

Built around the schedule, the family, and the career we're actually trying to navigate — not a generic seven-day grid.

A note from us

Runi was made for women — by women who get it.

Hiring a health coach?

$200+ an hour.

An executive assistant to manage your wellness?

Even more.

Runi is the solution we couldn't find, so we built it.

We understand that no two days are the same in a woman's body. That your energy on Day 8 is nothing like your energy on Day 22. That your sleep, cravings, strength, and focus are all shifting on a 28-day rhythm most health tools completely ignore.

We were drowning in apps that gave us data without context, dashboards without direction, and plans designed for a life none of us actually live.

We wanted something different. A health plan that adapts in real time. Actionable recommendations, not just charts. Something that fits into the reality of being a modern woman who is building a career, raising a family, running a business, and trying not to let her health fall to the bottom of the list.

From our co-founders

Taylor Frankel, Co-Founder of Runi

I co-founded a beauty business at 18 and spent 12 years building it into a multi-million-dollar brand. Somewhere in the middle of that journey, I burned out. Not the kind you recover from in a weekend. The kind that made me realize: if I couldn’t sustain my health, I couldn’t sustain my business.

I tried everything. Apps that tracked but never told me what to do. Coaches I couldn’t afford consistently. Advice that assumed I had two free hours a day I didn’t have.

Runi is the executive health assistant I needed then — and that every woman deserves now. One that actually understands your body, your hormones, your schedule, and your life. At a fraction of what I was cobbling together on my own.

Katherine Bernstein, Co-Founder of Runi

I’ve spent almost a decade building software, and one thing that’s always bugged me: there’s so much personal data available to me now through all these different tools and trackers, and none of it actually makes my life easier. Each app gives me its own little snapshot, maybe a mildly interesting insight — but nothing that helps me strategize better or move faster.

What I’ve always wanted is something like a Chief of Staff for my health. Not an app that tells me how to live my life, but one where I say what I need and it takes care of the rest. I say I want to get stronger, and it builds me a plan that works for my body and my week. I say I want to hit my protein goals without living on chicken breast, and it puts together meals I’ll actually make.

I stay in the driver’s seat. It handles the busy work.
